Our Program

The Green Dream of Jewish Camping

Eden Village Camp adds an innovative program to the best of traditional overnight camp. Our program harmonizes the needs of the bodies, minds, and hearts of campers as they grow and develop. By providing choices within an underlying rhythm and structure, we nurture young people's capacity for free thinking and action.

Program Offerings

Organic Farming

  • Care of chickens, goats, bees and other animals
  • On our main camp farm and bunkside edible gardens: Planting, Harvesting, Farm Games, Gardening, Permaculture Design
  • Culinary Arts, Sprouting, Pickling

Wilderness Skills

  • Overnight trips, Nature Games, Shelter Building, Fire Building, Outdoor Cooking, Animal Tracking, Plant Identification

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

  • Hikes, High and Low Ropes Course, Zipline, Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Structured Group-Building Initiatives, Obstacle Challenges

Science of Nature

  • Local ecology, Local botany, Herbalism, Biology, Insects/pests, Geology, Birding, Ecosystems monitoring, Vermaculture, Mycology (study of mushrooms)

Swimming and Boating

  • Instructional and Recreational Swim in Pool and 8-Acre Lake, Canoeing, Kayaking, Row-boating
